Description
Collection preserve about 4300 clones, 11000 seed plants, F1, F2 and backcrosses on 14 ha of fields located in Tuscany, Umbria and Campania. Species derived from seed collected in their native range all over the world, clones derived from grafting of valuable genotypes. More than 100,000 accessions are registered in the collection

Taxonomical Identification (morphological, molecular), molecular typing, maintenance and propagation through seed, grafting, cuttings and in vitro cell culture through embryogenic callus lines; studies on resistance to pathogens, on plant-pathogen interactions, on biocontrol, on population genetics, variability and heritability; phenotyping to select best performing ideotypes; selection of valuable genotypes for disease resistance, ornamental, growth, morphology traits; suitability to wood production, low release of allergenic pollen; phenology and physiology of different provenances.
