Description

AnCol Collection consists of more than 2,000 DNA derived from several animal species and breeds (Holstein Friesian, Agerolese, Marchigiano and Podolico cattle; Italian Mediterranean buffalo and Swamp Buffalo; Sicilian and Casertana Black Swine; Salernitano, Persano, Napoletano and Ragusano horse; Cilentano goat; Laticauda, Bagnolese and Sarda sheep) and about 800 bacterial artificial chromosomes (BACs) from Global genomic biobanks used as animal-specific genetic markers.
