Description
IPSP Collection preservs about 100 strains of microorganisms, and nematode populations of Meloidogyne, Heterodera, Xiphinema, Helicotylenchus spp., Tylenchulus semipenetrans from Italy. The microbial isolates proceed from italian agro-food systems, including various fungi and bacteria of noteworthy phytopathological, agro-food and biocontrol importance, such us, Arthrobotrys, Drechslerella, Pochonia, Fusarium, Lecanicillium, Trichoderma, Pasteuria, Bacillus, Variovorax.
Keywords
Agriculture, Biocontrol agents, Food, Bioremediation
Preservation Techniques
CRYO: Ultrafrezeer at -80 °C in cryovials with spore suspension in water glycerol (10% v/v) or with mycelium grown on silica gel particles; FRESH CULTURES: Refrigerator at 4 °C in plastic tubes with spore suspension or mycelium agar plug in sterile water (Castellani method), in host nematode populations (Pasteuria). Nematodes populations are kept on host plants in greenhouse.
Services
Production, testing and molecular identification of isolates of fungi and bacteria. Nematodes identification with conventional and molecular methods.
Competence / Expertise
Taxonomical identification (morphological, molecular), molecular typing; isolation, preservation and cultivation of microorganisms; ecological studies, biochemical characterization.
Quality
ISO 9001- 2015
